Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ComplyEU platform (the “Service”) operated by ComplyEU (“ComplyEU,” “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
ComplyEU is a software-as-a-service platform that helps organisations comply with the EU AI Act and the NIS2 Directive by discovering AI tools, classifying them, generating policy templates and reports, and tracking implementation. Outputs are intended as drafts to be reviewed by qualified compliance, legal, or security professionals — they are not legal advice.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. The first user to sign up for an organisation becomes its owner and may invite, demote, or remove other users.
3. Subscriptions, trials & billing
New organisations receive a 14-day free trial of the Service. After the trial, paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Fees exclude applicable VAT, which we add at checkout. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by mandatory law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to facilitate unlawful activity.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written agreement.
- Submit data you are not authorised to submit.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product.
5. Your data & processing
You retain all rights to data you submit. We process such data only as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement at /dpa. We will not use customer content to train AI models.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its codebase, brand, and outputs (other than your data) are owned by ComplyEU. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” ComplyEU does not guarantee that the Service's outputs are correct, complete, or fit for any particular regulatory submission. You remain responsible for your own compliance with the EU AI Act, NIS2, and all other law applicable to your organisation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComplyEU's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid to us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or other liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Term & termination
These Terms apply for as long as you have an account. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which we delete it (subject to legal retention obligations).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Stockholm, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
